Claudia Melba Mell Jones, born April 16, 1933, passed from this earth January 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Jones and one son, David Allen Jones.

She is survived by one daughter, Mellena Helton; two sons, James Jones and Theresa, Will Jones and Malinda; one sister Della Mae Bennet of Searcy; one brother, Benny Warren of Magazine; five grandchildren, Mellena Nichols and Nick, Tony Helton and Constance, John Helton and Melissa, Donna Andrews and Philip, and Jerry Jones; five great-grandchildren; one ex-daughter-in-law, Sheila Dewitt, one ex-grandson-in-law, Jimmy Andrews; and many friends and relatives.

A graveside service with interment will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Ellington Cemetery in Magazine under the direction of Booneville Funeral Service of Booneville.
